I have a broken Ubuntu installation. It's actually a Lubuntu, but I suppose the procedure would be the same. The laptop crashed physically (falled 20 cm) and when restarting, something was wrong and the desktop environment wont start. I suppose some package is broken.
I have access to command-line (F3)_and Internet is working (good connection). I'd like to keep my installation with all its setting, programs and stuff. Data is in back-up, but keeping them would be helpful too.
Is there a command that means "repair what's broken, package wise"? Or should I make a Lubuntu live-DVD and install a new updated Lubuntu over my old isntallation?
