copy config file to /etc directory while installing, openwrt

I have cross compiled a package for a version of openwrt. It is installing and working fine.

I have a configuration file which is in my source directory, and it should be copied automatically to the /etc directory while installation. I am scratching my head, How should I do it? Guys, help please.
