VPN and Privoxy together

NOTE: I'm just starting to learn this stuff. I've installed Privoxy, and a VPN, and I'm trying to use them together. I tried setting listen-address to the ip and port my VPN provides, the one I entered into the browser settings, but when I enter them into the privoxy config, privoxy fails to restart and I can't browse at all.
