How can I assign an elastic ip to a container running in ubuntu on AWS?

I have been trying to find a way to have multiple servers running on one ec2 instance with each server having a public static ip addresses. I haven't found anything that would help me solve this problem. The idea would be to either assign a virtual network interface to each linux container but I don't know how to go about doing that. Does anybody have experience doing anything similar? Thanks.
