How to create a symbolic link to a single file rather than directory?

I would like to know, how can I create a symbolic link to AAA.mpg (12GB).

I tried with ln -s, but it can only create symbolic link of a directory, if it's a single file, the shortcut will consume the storage space (like a copy rather than shortcut).
